This complete RPG-2 display set includes an original military launcher, an original three-round carrying backpack, and three restored inert PG-2 High-Explosive Anti-Tank projectiles with inert replica expulsion charges.
Together, these parts recreate the field load carried by an RPG-2 team. The complete setup provides a much stronger display than a launcher or loose projectile by itself.
This launcher has a collector-preferred style of demilitarization. The demilitarization hole is hidden beneath the wooden heat shield, which preserves the clean outer appearance of the launcher tube. The firing pin assembly remains present and was not demilitarized.
These features make this example more desirable than many surplus RPG-2 launchers with a visible demilitarization hole or missing firing components.
The launcher is permanently deactivated and cannot be reactivated. It is sold only as an inert and nonfunctional display piece.

Each restored PG-2 projectile includes:

The CNC-machined and 3D-printed parts were made by replicating original PG-2 components. This helps preserve the correct general size, shape, and military appearance of the original projectile.
Condition
The launcher and backpack are original military items. They may show finish wear, handling marks, scratches, fading, stains, wood wear, fabric wear, repairs, or other signs of military use and long-term storage.
The demilitarization hole is hidden beneath the wooden heat shield. The firing pin assembly remains present and was not demilitarized. The launcher is permanently deactivated, nonfunctional, and cannot be reactivated.
The three PG-2 projectiles are restored inert display assemblies. Their original fin components may show age, finish wear, and minor differences.
The projectiles and expulsion charges contain no explosive material, propellant, live primer, working fuze, or other energetic components. They cannot be fired.
Historical Background
The RPG-2 was developed in the Soviet Union shortly after World War II and entered military service during the 1950s. It became one of the first successful reusable Soviet shoulder-fired anti-tank launchers.
The system used a simple steel launch tube, folding iron sights, a pistol-grip firing assembly, and a wooden heat shield. The wooden covering helped protect the operator from a hot tube and made the launcher easier to handle in very cold weather.
The RPG-2 fired the PG-2 High-Explosive Anti-Tank projectile. A live PG-2 used a shaped-charge warhead to attack armored vehicles, bunkers, and other hard targets.
Unlike later RPG-7 ammunition, the PG-2 did not use a rocket motor that continued to propel it after leaving the launcher. A separate expulsion charge pushed the projectile out of the tube. Folding fins then opened to help keep the projectile stable during flight.
The RPG-2 was commonly used by a two-person team. Purpose-built carrying backpacks held three PG-2 projectiles, allowing the gunner and assistant gunner to carry extra ammunition in the field. This original backpack and three-round set show how the ammunition was stored and transported.
The RPG-2 design was copied by several nations, including China as the Type 56. It was widely used during the Cold War and became closely linked with the Vietnam War. Its basic design also helped lead to the later and much better-known RPG-7.
