Historical Context:

The Panoramic Telescope M1 was a critical aiming device used by U.S. artillery crews from WWII through the early Cold War. The M13 instrument light enabled artillerymen to operate their aiming optics in low-light or night conditions, ensuring accurate indirect fire support. Both the telescope and mount featured graduated scales that required illumination to function properly at night. The M13 was fielded in conjunction with the Telescope Mount M3, a standard mounting interface used across various artillery platforms.

Perfect For:

  • Restoration of WWII and Korean War-era artillery equipment
  • Military collectors seeking rare fire-control accessories
  • Museum-quality displays or educational exhibits
  • Reenactors and historical artillery hobbyists
