Original US Army aluminum fin extension for converting the M49A2 High Explosive round, into the M49A2E2 / M49A4 High Explosive rounds. This extension was developed and incorporated into the M49A2 round to give additional flight stability at longer ranges. The extension moves the fin assembly rearward by exactly 2 inches. This is for the fin extension only, and does NOT include the mortar round or fin, which are shown for reference purposes only. Nice little mortar accessory, which is hard to find on its own. Excellent unused condition, just a few scuffs from storage.
