Bring an icon of modern USMC ordnance to your collection. Hand-built in our Ordnance.com machine shop, this full-scale replica 83mm Mark 3 High-Explosive Dual-Mode/ (HEDP) rocket is precision-modeled from original components used with the SMAW (Shoulder-Launched Multipurpose Assault Weapon). Every external line, interface, and marking has been recreated for an authentic, training aid or display-ready piece.
Crafted for Accuracy
Warhead (Mk118 profile), warhead adapter, rocket motor body, fin adapter, and fins are CNC-machined from aluminum for crisp geometry and long life.
The Venturi nozzle is a high-detail 3D printed model finished to match the original texture.
Spring-deployed fins are functional, springing into the deployed position just like the service round.
Built as a 100% inert replica—no energetics, propellant, or live components.
Historical Notes
Fielded in the mid-1980s, the SMAW (derived from the Israeli B-300) became the Marine Corps’ go-to shoulder launcher for urban breaching, bunker reduction, and light-armor defeat. The Mark 3 HEDM rocket—built around the Mk118 warhead form—gave Marines a versatile, dual-mode solution that could be employed against masonry and reinforced targets as well as lightly armored vehicles. SMAW rockets saw extensive operational use from Desert Storm through OIF/OEF, cementing the system’s reputation for reliability and punch in close-quarters combat.
