Inert 76.5mm Austro-Hungarian 1917 shell casing used in the 8cm Feldkanone M.5 field gun during WWI. This 76.5x283mm casing is made of brass This casing is in good condition.
The 8cm Feldkanone M.5 was a conventional design, with its most notable feature being it obsolescent auto-frettaged bronze barrel, necessary because Austria-Hungary still had trouble making steel of the proper quality.
