This inert 57mm OFG-7 High-Explosive Fragmentation (HE-FRAG) Rocket is a genuine Bulgarian-manufactured rocket designed for the RPG-7 series of launchers. Intended for anti-personnel and light material targets, the OFG-7 delivers powerful area effects using a pre-fragmented warhead to maximize lethal radius. This particular specimen is completely inert and safe for display, training, or collecting.
Historical Context:
The OFG-7 is part of Bulgaria’s extensive line of RPG-7-compatible ammunition. It features a 57mm warhead with pre-fragmented steel construction, paired with a 40mm rocket motor. Unlike shaped-charge HEAT rounds designed to penetrate armor, the OFG-7 is engineered to detonate on impact using a point-detonating fuze, dispersing fragmentation over a wide area. Its effective range is approximately 200–300 meters, making it ideal for suppressing enemy personnel and disrupting formations in open terrain or light cover.
