Add a serious piece of modern U.S. breaching-system hardware to your collection with this restored 5" / 127mm Mark 22 Mod 4 rocket motor, the rocket used with the M58 Mine Clearing Line Charge (MICLIC) system. This is the rocket motor only, restored as a display piece and offered as a stand-alone component for collectors, museums, and military vehicle restorations. The display cart, trailer, and complete M58 system shown in photos are for reference only and are not included. The motor is restored to order, with a typical lead time of 4–6 weeks from order.
The Mk 22 Mod 4 is a 5-inch rocket motor designed to tow the M58 linear demolition charge across a minefield or obstacle belt as part of the U.S. Army’s MICLIC system. In service, the MICLIC system consists of a launcher, firing kit, M58 line charge, and the Mk 22 rocket motor. Public Army and ordnance references identify the Mk 22 Mod 4 specifically as the propulsion unit used to pull the line charge into position before detonation.
The M58 MICLIC was developed to give combat engineers a fast breaching tool for clearing lanes through conventional minefields and obstacle belts. Army fact sheets describe the line charge as approximately 350 feet long, propelled over the target area by the Mk 22 5-inch rocket motor, after which it is detonated to clear a vehicle-width lane roughly 100 meters long. That made the MICLIC one of the signature U.S. combat-engineer breaching systems of the late Cold War and post-Cold War era.
Historically, the MICLIC has been associated with the M200A1 trailer launcher configuration and has also been employed from the M1150 Assault Breacher Vehicle (ABV). Army sources specifically note that MICLIC ammunition components can be fired from the M1150 ABV, while the standard system is also described on an M200A1 trailer with a launcher assembly. That makes this rocket motor a correct and highly recognizable component for displays centered on either trailer-mounted or breacher-vehicle mine-clearing systems.
This restored example offers the real restored Mk 22 Mod 4 motor while remaining completely inert for display. It is especially well suited for collectors building out a MICLIC display, museums interpreting combat engineering and breaching systems, or restorers looking for an authentic rocket component to complement an M58 MICLIC, M1150 ABV, or M200A1 trailer presentation. Because the live Mk 22 was used as the propulsion element of a mine-clearing system rather than as a stand-alone tactical rocket, surviving examples have a strong visual presence and an immediate connection to modern U.S. breaching operations.
This listing is for the rocket motor only. No trailer, cart, launcher, or complete MICLIC system is included. Those items appear in photos strictly to show the original context in which the Mk 22 Mod 4 was used. Your restored motor is intended for display and educational use only.
