Inert 40mm shell casing, used in the Q.F. 40mm Mk I and Mk III gun by Britain during WWII. This 40x311mm casing is made of brass and is in good condition. The Q.F. 40mm MK I and MK III were based on the Bofors 40mm L/60 anti-aircraft gun. The British first examined the weapon in 1937.
