Inert 40mm shell casing, used in QF 2 pdr Mark VIII “pom-pom” by Britain between WWI and WWII. This 40x158mm casing is made of brass and is in good condition.
The case markings were re-stamped for the 9.5 in D.C.T. "depth charge thower" and were used to launch depth charges off of ships during WWI/WWII.
The QF 2 pdr Mark VIII “pom-pom” was a rapid-firing, multi-barreled close-range anti-aircraft weapon used by Britain during WWII.
