Description
Inert 37mm WWI shell casing, with US and British markings. This 37x136mm casing is made of brass and is in good condition. This long cased Hotchkiss one pounder was chambered primarily in U.S. Naval Quick-fire weapons, in sub-caliber devices for large caliber Navy and Coast Artillery guns. It was used in a few Hotchkiss Revolving cannons, heavy Maxim “Pom-Poms” and infantry type guns, such as the McClean Automatic Cannon and the Bethlehem Naval Landing Gun.
