Add a classic World War II training piece to your collection with this restored 2.36" M7A3 Practice Rocket, the inert counterpart to the late-war M6A3 HEAT round used in the U.S. "Bazooka" family of rocket launchers. This round retains the correct silhouette of the improved Bazooka projectile—complete with rounded nose and ring (wheel) fin assembly—while being completely inert and safe for display.
The M7-series practice rockets were developed so U.S. troops could train with the 2.36" rocket launcher using ammunition that matched the handling and ballistics of live HEAT rounds, but without the danger and cost of high explosive warheads. The M7A3 was paired with the M6A3 HEAT rocket, which introduced a more efficient, rounded nose and improved fin design for better stability and performance.
M7A3 practice rockets were used with the later M9 and M9A1 Bazooka launchers, as well as in postwar training, giving infantry anti-tank teams realistic live-fire and handling experience. Externally, they follow the same general layout as the service round:
This is a display-only training rocket and cannot be fired or made functional.
Approx length 12.5", Approx width 2.3", Approx height 2.3", Approx weight 3.4lbs.
