Own an authentic piece of Cold War/Vietnam-era air-to-ground ordnance history with this inert LAU-3/A 19-shot folding-fin aerial rocket (FFAR) pod. Available restored (museum/display finish) or unrestored (as-is service patina with Demil), this pod can be configured with an optional handling cart and/or dummy CNC-machined M151 warheads for a complete, ready-to-display loadout.
First fielded in the late 1950s and synonymous with the Vietnam War, the LAU-3/A carried nineteen 2.75-inch FFARs (the family that later evolved into today’s HYDRA-70 rockets). It equipped a wide range of U.S. and allied aircraft—including F-4 Phantom II, F-100 Super Sabre, A-4 Skyhawk, A-1 Skyraider, A-37 Dragonfly, and F-5 Freedom Fighter—for close air support, interdiction, and armed reconnaissance. The pod’s selectable firing modes and intervalometer enabled single, ripple, or salvo release, making it a flexible, hard-hitting stores option across theaters from Southeast Asia through the Cold War.
Compliance Note: Pod, cart, and dummy warheads are 100% inert. No energetic materials, no live fuzes/rockets, and no firing capability.
Bring period-correct firepower to your display with an original launcher that defined close air support for a generation of fast jets.
Approx length 51", Approx width 18.5", Approx weight 109lbs.
