Here is a genuine 1970's bolt for the infamous 20mm M61 Vulcan Autocannon that could fire up to 6,000 rounds per minute of 20mm ammunition...........which is an astonishing 100 rounds per second!! For some reason (probably an overage or canceled contract) the machining on these bolts was never completed, and they ended up getting scrapped by General Electric around 1980. Military Defense Associates (MDA) bought the scrap from General Electric during that time. The unfinished bolts sat in MDA's warehouse for 25 years until we bought MDA's inventory in 2005. The bolts have sat in our inventory for the past 18 years, until we decided to bring them our of storage, get them cleaned up, and sell them so other people could have a cool piece of history sitting on their desk! We engraved the bolts in our machine shop with the details that can be seen in the photos. The bolts were originally made of high quality tool steel, and still look fantastic 50 years later! They would make an awesome paperweight (weighing a hefty 1.3 pounds) or a super-cool desk ornament that carries with it the history of General Electric, as well as one of the most powerful machine guns ever used by the US military! An awesome feature of the bolt is the fact that it has the shell-holder machined into the face of the bolt ---- allowing you to display any 20mm Vulcan round with the bolt. The bolt holds the round, as it would have originally in the gun, and with the angles cut on the bolt, it can be displayed at a perfect 45° angle! The bolt and round can be displayed verically or horizontally.       Watch Vulcan Bolt Video Here
